Destination BC’s Australian team attended International Media Marketplace (IMM) on October 21-22, held virtually for the first time. Australian and New Zealand journalists met for two days of 15 minute business-to-business appointments with destination marketing organizations and hotels. Taking advantage of this virtual conference from a home base, Australian journalist Michael Turtle even brought his dog Zoe to the meeting with Lizzie Doyle. IMM’s next virtual show is scheduled for the US marketplace in January 2021.

Destination BC’s German team participated in Destination Canada’s ongoing travel agent training program delivering BC destination training to Canada Specialists (CSPs) in Germany. Martin Walter presented to 59 agents with an additional 33 agents requesting access to the presentation. The BC training was well received with Martin fielding many follow-up questions and requests for more detailed information.
