In late September, the BC Bird Trail was launched by partners across the province, with support through our Co-operative Marketing Partnership Program. Developed to raise awareness about the diversity and quality of BC’s birding experiences, the BC Bird Trail operates in support of birding, and birdwatching-focused travel in British Columbia. Through easy-to-follow itineraries, the Trail encourages visitors to “Discover BC’s Pacific Flyway” in areas covering Central Vancouver Island, Richmond, Delta, and the Fraser Valley. In coming years, the Trail will expand throughout BC.
We are excited to support the following partners to build the BC Bird Trail through the Co-operative Marketing Partnership Program to become the leading source of information on attractions, activities, and accommodations related to birdwatching travel in BC:
The allocated Co-op Program funding ($64,000) and additional Destination BC funding ($70,000) will be used to:
Destination BC’s Co-op Program is an application-based program that provides co-operative marketing and promotion support to Regional Destination Managemet Organizations, community consortiums, sector organizations or approved paired communities in British Columbia.
